Pokeballs is used to catch Pokemons. There are many kinds of Pokeballs.
Cherish Ball
The ball is unobtainable inside the gam. It is only found at events, where the Cherish Ball holds another Pokemon inside of it. Example, the ALAMOS Darkrai is in a Cherish Ball. You can't have a Cherish Ball in your bag without the use of an external device. It has x 1 catch rate.

Quick Ball
A somewhat different Poke Ball that provides a better catch rate if it is used at the start of a wild counter. During the 4 turns of the of the battle, the capture rate is x 4. When the number of turns reaches 5, the capture rate decreases to x 3.When the number of turns reaches 10, the capture rate decreases to x 2. When the number of turns reaches 15, the capture rate decreases to x 1.
